The start of the New Year is the most popular time for people to make a commitment (or re-commit) to their health. It’s also when we’ve usually spent the last two weeks ignoring our health altogether! Not to worry! Beth Nydick is back in the Cucina with the perfect way to start of the New Year AND your commitment to be good to YOU!

This Morning Regrets Elixir is NOT an alcoholic drink. Just something simple that she and co-author Tara Roscioli whipped up in their Clean Cocktails book to detoxify the body and help you feel your best!

Coconut water can help improve weight loss, boost your immunity and brain function! It’s got all you need to replenish your body after ringing in the New Year a touch harder than you intended! Then there’s that lime which can improve digestion, fight infections and reduce inflammation. Topped off with fresh mint which is also antimicrobial (and settles the stomach, and boosts immunity and reduces inflammation) you’ve got a detoxifying drink that will start off 2020 just right! Morning Regrets Elixir
Serves 4

Recommended Barware:
Highball glasses

2 fresh limes, cut into wedges
8 fresh mint sprigs
4 C. coconut water
4 C. seltzer
ice

Muddle the lime wedges and most of the mint sprigs in a pitcher. Add the coconut water, seltzer and ice to the pitcher and stir gently.

Strain the contents into 4 highball glasses. Garnish each with remaining mint sprigs and serve.
